The pop concert is the first concert on our yearly concert circuit and takes place at the end of summer in a coffee shop. It is a casual, themed concert. Of course, the theme is "Pop Music". Each performer picks a pop piece of his or her own choice to perform at the concert. As many performers as possible are encouraged to sing and play either piano or guitar to accompany themselves as they perform. Performers not comfortable doing more than one thing at a time just do what they are comfortable with. 

This concert is a casual, low-key, fun way to begin begin the concert year. As with most of the concerts, performers are assigned to perform along with other performers in a 45-60 minute musical set. Performers are required to stay for the entire 45-60 minute set they are performing in, whether or not they are done performing. Any performer that will not be able to stay for his or her entire set should notify the office before the concert so that he or she can be taken off of the set list and wait until the next concert venue comes around to perform.
