Private Lesson Curriculum

Each teacher enrolled in Master's Pedagogical Institute receives weekly private lessons. These lessons fulfill the private lesson requirement needed for  WholeMusic™. One year of weekly 60 minute private lessons fulfills the private lesson requirement for one level of WholeMusic™.

Sound theory of piano pedagogy and music education is the foundation of all Master’s pedagogical instruction.  Piano teachers set their own personal goals for piano and their teaching career and learn how to accomplish the steps that lead to meeting those goals. Teachers are taught essential skills in 20 different musical areas which transfer to every musical goal.

The Master's piano pedagogy curriculum is designed for piano teachers and aspiring piano teachers who want to take their skills and career to the next level.  Teachers are systematically taken through our WholeMusic™ curriculum.  It is a 17 level, systematic, fun program that teaches 20 musical areas including: technique, theory, composition, improvisation, artistry, sight reading, performance, public speaking, and presentation. Teachers grow their skills by playing their favorite songs as well as learning the works of well-known masters.

Piano teachers enrolled in Master's Pedagogical Institute become well-rounded musicians who, through their musical studies can accomplish their musical dreams and empower their students to do the same.  In private lessons, teachers are taught to apply the skills learned in the WholeMusic™ curriculum to all musical goals including:

 Pop music
 Church music
 Jazz music
 Country music
 Classical music
 Song writing
 Recording
 Recreational playing

In private lessons, through the WholeMusic™ curriculum, teachers build the skills needed to be successful in any musical path a teacher or a student is seeking.
