Park Concert

Freestone
Park: Voted “Arizona’s best place to have a
picnic.”
In early April of
each year we do a delightful picnic and concert in the amphitheatre at Freestone
Park. It is a casual, open concert. The individual teacher guides the performer
in choosing a crowd-pleasing piece to perform in the park which is located on
Lindsay Road just south of Guadalupe Road in Gilbert. This concert is a very public event
where we invariably meet new friends that happen to be in the park that day and
stop for a while to watch us perform.
As with most of the
concerts, performers are assigned to perform along with other performers in an
approximately 90 minute musical set. Performers are required to stay for the
entire 90 minute set they are performing in, whether or not they are done
performing. Any performer that will not be able to stay for his or her entire
set should notify the office before the concert so that he or she can be taken
off of the set list and wait until the next concert venue comes around to
perform.
